My photographs have always been very carefully composed, whether by intuition or my own rules of having certain spaces equal to others in the frame. I won't take the picture until it feels right. I find this process of constructing the image in the frame very pleasing, so I honed in on that aspect to create a new series of work. 

With 'Redesign' I digitally strip the images down to their basic elements. Working by hand rather than with an automatic filter allows me to exercise full control over colour and line rather than just creating a copy of the original. 

This first set looks at some images where circles play a large or small part of the drama. I've included the original images down the page too.
