Much of my painting and drawing flows directly from my subconscious, sometimes with guidance from random behaviour of materials. As such, it can be hard to discover what they are 'about', or why it is I draw and paint. Looking back across a number of works created over time, it is possible though, to discern certain themes or repeating motifs.

In this collection I have gathered together some work that looks at pathways, routes and movements through or around, sometimes led by my own imposed rules, sometimes not.
